BOISE -- American Eagle Airlines will discontinue service to the Boise Airport on Feb. 9, 2012.
Currently the airline operates two flights a day from Boise to Los Angeles.
An airline spokesperson says it has nothing to do with the current bankruptcy of American Airlines parent company, but called the route unprofitable.
American Eagle began flying this route in April.
And, as we reported this summer, Southwest Airlines officials say beginning Jan. 8 -- direct flights from Boise to Seattle, Salt Lake and Reno will be eliminated.
