BOISE -- A Nampa woman died Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash on Interstate 84 near the Elmore/Gooding County line.
Idaho State Police say 62-year-old Hazel Perry was westbound in a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer at milepost 134, just east of the Bliss Rest area when the crash happened at 12:09.
Perry's SUV left the roadway and went into the median. She swerved back onto the highway, went off the right shoulder, struck an embankment and rolled. The vehicle came to rest in the right lane of I-84 on the driver's side of the SUV.
Perry died of her injuries at the scene. Family members have been notified.
Police say she was wearing a seatbelt.
Both westbound lanes were closed while police responded and investigated.
One lane was open to traffic at 12:47 p.m. Both lanes were back open by 3:33 p.m.
