ONTARIO, Ore. -- A man sought by police in the shooting of a 4-year-old Ontario, Ore., boy has turned himself in.
Police Chief Mark Alexander told The Argus Observer newspaper that 33-year-old Juan Jose Moreno-Alvarez met police at City Hall late Thursday. There, he was interviewed and transferred to the Malheur County Jail to await possible charges.
The child was shot in the arm Tuesday and underwent surgery at a Boise hospital. He and two siblings are now in state custody.
Ontario had two shootings in October. The other was fatal.
