NAMPA -- Police are investigating an early morning shooting in downtown Nampa.

Nampa Police say they responded to a shooting that happened near 4th Street South and 11th Avenue South at 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Officers found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound, but he was conscience and breathing. According to authorities, the man was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition.

Witnesses told police the shooting involved three suspects and the male victim. They said the suspects shot the man, then fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV with off-road type tires.

Police say the suspects were all described as white males in their 20s. One was said to be wearing a hoodie sweatshirt with camouflage pants.

Another was reported to be bald, wearing a red shirt and tan pants. And the third man was described as wearing a black, leather jacket with black pants and a black beanie hat.

The shooting is still under investigation by the Nampa Police Department. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Don Peck at 475-5714, or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
