BOISE -- TV isn't just an abbreviation for television anymore. Nowadays, you could say it stands for Treasure Valley.

That's because over the last few weeks, several locals have been spotted on national TV shows.

A new TLC show next airing on June 17, called Honey Do features a Vale, Oregon native named Dan Vickery. The show follows a dream team of handy men that expect to come to the aid of one wife whose husband can't finish her 'honey do' list a mile long.

The dream team includes Jonathon 'the foreman,' Kevin 'the construction man,' Ben 'the painter' and Dan Vickery 'the handyman.' Together, they bring their tools and talents to finish tasks a chosen couple doesn't know how to do on their own.

This isn't the first time Vickery has been on television. He also competed on HGTV's Design Star, then later finished in second place on the show's all stars edition.

Vickery and his Honey Do team are expected to be on NBC's Today Show on Thursday, June 13.

28-year-old Boise native Brooks Forester is already known as a front-runner on ABC's The Bachelorette with Desiree Hartsock.

On episode two, Forester was chosen for a one-on-one date with Desiree, where they tried on wedding attire and hiked to the famed Hollywood sign in the hills of Los Angeles, California. Forester has sinced moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he works for the company Fit Marketing.

Although our next TV guest is outside of the Treasure Valley, he's still an Idahoan. On Tuesday night, NBC's America's Got Talent introduced their audience to University of Idaho staff member Brad Byers. The 53-year-old Moscow resident swallowed swords before the celebrity panel of judges while they were casting in San Antonio, Texas.

Byers got a 100-percent 'yes' from comedian Howie Mandel and radio-personality Howard Stern, but former Spice Girl Mel B. couldn't quite handle the nine-sword swallow. Eventually, the Idahoan got a third and final yes from judge and model Heidi Klum.

The 3-1 'yes' vote now sends him on to America's Got Talent's next round in Las Vegas. This isn't Byers first time on television, he has made other appearances on various thrilling talent shows for his sword swallowing.
