BEND, Ore. -- A Washington man learned how fast his new Ducati can go and how big a ticket that means if you get caught testing it out.

Gregory Zaser, 51, of the wealthy Lake Washington enclave of Medina, east of Seattle, told Senior Trooper Don Newcomb that he'd just purchased the Ducati bike and wanted to see what it could do.

Newcomb said Zaser was cited for 130 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone and for careless driving.

Zaser was northbound on U.S. 97 when he was pulled over.

Oregon State Police Lt. Steve Mitchell said Zaser could also have his license suspended.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
