ST. ANTHONY, Idaho -- A 39-year-old Nampa man who walked away from an Idaho Department of Correction work camp in St. Anthony and was later captured has received an additional year and five months to his original 15-year sentence.

The Standard Journal reports that Tarango D. Padilla was sentenced Tuesday in 7th District Court after pleading guilty to one felony count of escape by a person convicted of a felony.

The Department of Correction says that on July 5, Padilla walked away from the minimum security prison where he was serving a seven- to 15-year prison term for two counts of grand theft.

Deputies with the Canyon County Sheriff's Office arrested Padilla at a Nampa home in southwest Idaho in early December after getting a tip about his location.
