BOISE -- Several Idaho Power crews worked to restore power to homes and businesses on Long Island last week in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

The crews worked in and around Brookhaven, New York, which is on Long Island.

We're told the crews have been trying to restore power since last Thursday, while working in safe locations. However, some homes had so much damage, the crews weren't able to restore their power.

As of Wednesday, a total of ten Idaho Power trucks are on their way back home to Idaho.
