TWIN FALLS -- A murder trial has been suspended for a 32-year-old Rupert man accused in the shooting death of his brother.
Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs says the trial is on hold while Damon Wayne Azure is evaluated through the Idaho Security Medical Program.
The Times-News reports that the program is to test and treat people who display evidence of mental illness or psychosocial disorders.
Loebs says the process should take 90 days.
Azure is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Seanachan Azure, who was shot in the head, mouth and torso. The victim was found lying in front of Damon Azure's car near Twin Falls Park north of Kimberly.
