BELLEVUE -- A big welcome home is underway in the Wood River Valley for Idaho's newest gold medal Olympian.

It's Kaitlyn Farrington's first trip to her hometown of Bellevue since winning Olympic gold in the women's halfpipe on February 12.

Farrington landed at Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey just after Noon Monday. From there, she'll ride through Bellevue, Hailey, and Ketchum aboard a Wood River Fire and Rescue ladder truck to the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation.

The public is encouraged to line the streets and congratulate Farrington on her big accomplishment.

Other events are also planned for later in the week. For a full list of events, click here.
