BOISE -- The Idaho Supreme Court has denied an appeal for a woman convicted of killing her parents as a teenager.

Sarah Johnson is serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Sarah was 16 years old in 2003 when prosecutors say she shot her parents at the family's Bellevue home.

The Idaho Innocence Project argued for a new trial for Johnson saying her lawyer was incompetent and new DNA analysis could prove she didn't kill her parents.

The high court ruled Johnson's original attorney was adequate and new evidence probably wouldn't result in acquittal.
