BOISE -- A head-on collision between a car and a city bus sent two people to the hospital Monday night, with serious injuries.

Boise Police say the two vehicles collided just after 6:15 p.m. at Vista Avenue and Cherry Lane, when witnesses say the car was going north on Vista, when it veered into oncoming traffic hitting the bus.

Two people in the Dodge Sedan were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver was the only person on board the city bus, and police say he was not hurt.

Police say no citations have been issued at this time.
