BOISE -- A woman convicted of brutally attacking another woman along Interstate 84 a decade ago will be allowed to move her appeal attempts forward.

Sarah Pearce was convicted of six felonies in 2003 including aiding and abetting in the attempted murder of Linda LeBrane.

The Idaho Innocence Project has been working Pearce's case and says they have evidence she wasn't there the night of the attack and they have an alternate suspect identified.

On Friday, a judge ruled in favor of Pearce on a number of pending issues that will lead to a hearing this winter that could get Pearce a new trial.
