GOODING, Idaho -- Flames from a fast-moving wildfire destroyed a mobile home and two vehicles northwest of Gooding late Thursday afternoon.

Gooding Fire Chief Brandon Covey said an uncontrolled burn at a neighbor's house quickly spread to nearby sage brush, threatening about 10 homes.

Firefighters with six area agencies responded to the fire around 5:00 p.m.

It blew through there so fast, it took about 50 acres of wildland, Covey said.

Firefighters say a single-family mobile home and two vehicles near 1625 East and 1700 South burned almost immediately.

When we arrived, there wasn't anything we could do, Covey told KTVB.

The family that lives in the mobile home wasn't there at the time of the fire, according to reports.

No one was injured.

Covey says the area is very fire prone.
