BOISE -- Boise Police say an eastern Washington driver was arrested on suspicion of felony drug possession and other charges after officers observed his vehicle traveling the wrong direction down a one-way street.
Ada County Jail records show 26-year-old Tyler S. Spies, of Chatteroy, Wash., was also being held Thursday on misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and without privileges after his arrest late Wednesday in Boise.
Police say Spies was stopped around 11 p.m. after his vehicle was seen traveling the wrong way down Main Street. Officers reported Spies appeared to be intoxicated and records showed his license was suspended.
Officers say a police dog alerted them to the likely presence of drugs and a controlled substance in the form of two pills was found inside an empty cigarette package.
