TWINFALLS-- A 26-year-old Nevada man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing a Utah man at a Twin Falls hotel back in July.

On July 15, Clark Cleveland shot and killed Tracy Ivie who was staying at the Hampton Inn while doing construction work in Twin Falls.

Cleveland had entered the hotel and taken a woman hostage after shooting an Idaho State Police trooper in the leg.

He was sentenced Thursday to life in prison with no chance for parole.

Cleveland pleaded guilty last week to first-degree murder, aggravated battery on an officer and second-degree kidnapping.
