PORTLAND -- None of the three jackpot-winning tickets was sold in the Northwest for Wednesday's Powerball drawing, but a $1 million ticket was sold in Portland, lottery officials said.
Two ticketholders in New Jersey and one in Minnesota will split the $448 million jackpot. Someone in Portland matched all numbers except the Powerball to win the $1 million prize.
A week earlier, another Portland ticketholder matched all but the Powerball and added the Power Play option to double the prize to $2 million. The two winners had not claimed their prizes as of Thursday afternoon.
In addition to those winners, from last night s drawing alone there were over 37,000 winning tickets in Oregon, said Oregon Lottery spokesman Chuck Baumann. Ranging from that $1 million prize down to $4, last night s Oregon Lottery Powerball players won $1.2 million in prizes.
The Powerball jackpot was reset to $40 million for Saturday's drawing.
