TWIN FALLS -- A 20-year-old woman faces a charge of felony injury to a child after her 14-month-old son ingested oxycodone and other drugs while in her care.
The Times-News reports Twin Falls police were called on Aug. 30 about a child who was not breathing. CPR was performed on the child on the hood of the mother's car.
Court records say Aeriel Wood told officers the child had ingested liquid ibuprofen.
However, tests at the hospital indicated the child had ingested oxycodone and also had opiates and sedatives in his system. The child was airlifted to a Boise hospital. Court records do not give any information about the child's condition.
Wood told police her son found some oxycodone pills at the home of a friend, but she didn't believe he'd eaten any.
