CALDWELL -- A 34-year-old Nampa woman charged with killing her boyfriend has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and two other felonies.
Susana Quijano entered the plea in a Canyon County courtroom Friday. She is also charged with use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony and destruction of evidence.
Prosecutors say Quijano stabbed her boyfriend, Santiago Delgado Quinjada, once in the chest at his Nampa home on Oct. 12. She then put the knife back in her purse and fled the scene. They do not believe she planned the stabbing.
Quijano was arrested the next day while walking down a Nampa street.
Police says the couple had a history of violence.
Quijano remains in the Canyon County Jail on $1 million bond. Defense attorneys withdrew their motion Friday for a bond reduction.
Her next court date is scheduled for Nov. 27.
