BURLEY, Idaho -- Investigators are trying to determine if a suspected bomb found inside a southern Idaho home contains explosives.
Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell told The Times-News that the cylinder-shaped object was found in a backpack left at a Burley home Friday night. The object was about six inches long, wrapped in duct tape and had what looked like a green fuse.
The person who lives at the home told investigators that a man who had been staying with her left the backpack and suspected bomb there. Deputies evacuated the woman from her home and called in an explosives team to take possession of the device.
Officials say they expect to find out this week what was inside the object.
