BOISE -- The Boise Rescue Mission got a nice boost today.

Hubble Homes gave a check for $67,500 to the Boise Rescue Mission. The money will be used for the mission s capital campaign fund for the new Lighthouse Rescue Mission in Nampa.

The donation was made in the Meridian community of Solitude Place, in front of the Hubble home built as a fundraiser for the mission.

Last December, Hubble Homes began construction of the new home and planned to donate the proceeds from its sale.

We have finished the building of the Lighthouse Rescue Mission, but we haven t finished with the capital campaign fundraiser, Boise Rescue Mission President Bill Roscoe. We still have a ways to go, but this check for $67,500 is going right into our capital campaign fund to help us bring down that balance yet to raise and get us to the end of that campaign.

The fundraising campaign was called Hubble Homes to the Rescue. Hubble Homes asked their vendors and trades to consider making a gift of labor or materials for the home to increase the amount they could donate to the mission.
