BOISE -- Students at Boise State University danced all night long to raise money for sick children in Idaho.

The fundraiser is called Dance Marathon and it had hundreds of students hit the dance floor for 17 straight hours to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network and St. Luke's Childrens Hospital.

The second annual dance wrapped up Saturday morning after nearly 20 hours.

Students say they hoped to raise $7,000 with this year's fundraiser. However they surpassed that goal by more than $30,000, raising more than $37,000 for sick kids in the Gem State.

Organizers say they hope to make the event even bigger next year.
