BOISE COUNTY -- The Karney Fire is now 100 percent contained.

The Idaho Department of Lands says the 440-acre fire was contained at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Seeding that is needed in areas that were bulldozed to help fight the fire will be completed this fall.

The Karney Fire started Sept. 17 along Robie Creek Road in Boise County. The fire destroyed one home and caused evacuations.

Eighteen-year-old volunteer firefighter Nathaniel Bartholomew was arrested in connection with starting this fire.
