TWIN FALLS -- Residents in the southern Idaho city of Twin Falls might want to make sure they've pulled their weeds and aren't leaving boats parked illegally on the street.
he Times-News reports the city has more than tripled the number of code violation warnings issued compared to a year ago. In August, the city issued 819 warnings.
The city's community development director, Mitch Humble, says that after the city council voted to get rid of parking meters downtown, the parking enforcer was given new responsibilities in the code violation department. That gives the city more eyes to watch for low-hanging tree branches and rubbish-filled yards.
