BOISE -- Police say a Boise woman was arrested on felony charges after officers say she tried to hide more than $700 in stolen property taken from a high school concession stand by a juvenile male.
Thirty-four-year-old Michelle Rodgriguez was booked at the Ada County Jail on Wednesday. Police say Rodriguez tried conceal items stolen by a juvenile male who was well known to her.
Investigators say the alleged theft happened on Sept. 1 near the 12000 block of West McMillan Road, which corresponds with the address of Boise's Centennial High School.
School officials refused to provide details about how much property was stolen, but police report that more than $700 in goods were taken from the concession stand.
What kind of goods?
Mostly candy, and concession items -- stuff like that, said Boise Police spokesman Chuck McClure.
Police say during the course of their investigation, officers became suspicious of a student that attended the school. They say a subsequent search of the student's home turned up part of the stolen goods.
However, they also say Rodriguez tried to hide some of the stolen property while police were at the house investigating.
Rodriguez was arrested and booked at the Ada County Jail on charges of felony possession of stolen property, and felony probation violation.
Police say the juvenile suspected of theft was arrested on burglary charges.
McClure says police were forced to dispose of the stolen concession items due to health concerns.
