BOISE -- The man accused of shooting and killing a Meridian attorney in a Walgreens parking lot pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
A grand jury indicted Rob Hall last week for first-degree murder and using a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.
At the arraignment, the prosecutor said she will not seek the death penalty.
Hall pleaded not guilty to both counts and waived his right to a speedy trial.
His jury trial is set to begin in November and is expected to take two weeks.
Also in court, Hall's wife asked that a no contact order be lifted so that Hall can live at home until his trial. The judge denied that request because investigators say she is an eyewitness to the shooting.
Hall is currently out of jail on $1 million bond.
