BOISE -- You might want to head to the Boise River if you want to hook a chinook salmon.
Idaho Fish and Game released the fish this afternoon at the Glenwood Bridge, Americana Bridge and Barber Park.
We have about 225 fish that are coming in the three sites, it's something we do whenever we have excess fish at the hatcheries. It gives a great opportunity for folks that maybe can't travel up to some of the locations to fish for chinook, said Art Butts, regional fish biologist, Idaho Fish and Game.
You can keep two chinook per day regardless of size. You must have an Idaho fishing license and a salmon permit.
