BOISE A northern California woman is in the Ada County Jail after police say they found nearly 40 pounds of marijuana inside her bag on a Greyhound bus.

Boise Police officers were called to the bus station in downtown Boise just before 10 a.m. Tuesday after bus employees complained of a strong odor of marijuana coming from one the bags beneath the bus.

The bus has just arrived in Boise from Portland, Oregon.

A Boise Police drug K9 alerted officers to the presence of drugs. Inside the bag, officers found 37 sealed bags of marijuana weighing 39.79 pounds and four bags of marijuana wax weighing just over a pound. Police say marijuana wax can be smoked in e-cigarettes.

Police arrested 54-year-old Lori Lovely of Shasta Lake, California on two felony charges. Officers also found a gram of meth in her possession. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance.
