BOISE -- Boise Police say they have identified an elderly woman who was found in a northwest Boise neighborhood this afternoon.

Officers were called to a home in the Lake Harbor area to check on a woman.

The woman does not speak English and police were having a hard time communicating with her.

A short time later, a woman called police dispatch to say her mom was missing.

We are told the woman speaks Farsi, an Arabic language that is spoken in Iran and Afghanistan.

She had apparently taken a walk and got lost. She has been safely returned to her home.
