WEISER -- Closures set up for the Weiser Complex wildfire have been lifted as of early Saturday morning, but Payette National Forest officials are warning the public of fire-related hazards if they do visit those now open areas.

The only closure that will remain in effect is on Sturgill Creek Road. Forest officials said they do not expect to open that road back up again until the spring of 2014.

Officials believe that area is still at serious risk of landslides and falling snags.

There are gates in place to keep the public from using that road, as well as signs that explain the dangers.
