MOSCOW, Idaho -- The president of the University of Idaho appears to be leaving.
President Duane Nellis is the sole finalist for the presidency at Texas Tech University.
Nellis has been at the U of I since 2009.
He said in a news release that he expected to complete his career in Idaho and did not expect to be offered the opportunity to be the president at Texas Tech.
Nellis was recently in the news for forming two committees on campus - one that will look at the culture and behavior of students when it comes to high-risk drinking and drug use.
The other will review, evaluate and make recommendations concerning the university's relationship with fraternities and sororities.
Texas Tech will make a final decision on the position in late March.
