BOISE-- Two weeks after his arrest, a Boise gymnastics coach has been indicted on charges of sexual battery and providing alcohol to minors, and authorities say there could be more victims.
Derek Nesbitt, 22, of Boise, has been indicted by the Ada County grand jury on five counts of sexual battery-lewd and lascivious acts on a minor 16 or 17 years of age, and four counts of dispensing alcoholic beverages to minors.
Ada County Sheriff's deputies began investigating Nesbitt after receiving information that he was providing alcohol to teens at several parties at his Boise home. He was arrested on July 20.
That investigation also revealed that Nesbitt had sexual contact with several females between the ages of 16 and 17. He met the teens while helping with the Borah High School cheerleading squad and during his work as an instructor and coach at a Meridian gymnastics facility.
Nesbitt will be arraigned on the new charges on Monday.
Meanwhile, detectives say their investigation into Nesbitt's activities continues and more charges could be forthcoming.
Anyone with information about the parties at his house or this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
