BOISE -- A Boise man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he threw a rock at a stranger s car and smashed in her window with a knife.
The attack began Monday night in front of a house off Boise Hills Drive above North 8th Street.
That s when police say 21-year-old Parker Banister Luce threw a mug into the roadway, which shattered and hit the victim s car with some of the pieces. She called police dispatchers, but during the phone call, Luce threw a large rock at the car, the victim told police.
The suspect next pulled out a knife and hit her driver s side window until it broke, police say. The victim, who later told police she was afraid for her life, was able to escape by driving away and waiting for officers to arrive.
The officers found Luce a short distance away. He was treated by paramedics for a cut on his arm, then booked into the Ada County Jail.
Luce has been charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as well as felony malicious injury to property and use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.
The suspect is currently free on a $25,000 bond.
