BOISE -- Two Boise men are charged with felony DUIin two separate incidents that happened early Sunday and Monday morning, according to police.
Ruben Espinosa Aguilar, 33, was booked into the Ada County Jail early Sunday morning, while Rojas Alejandro Perez, 23, was booked early Monday morning.
Aguilar is accused of driving drunk while traveling on Main Street just after midnight on Saturday. Boise police say he was stopped after officers noticed him driving down the middle of the roadway.
His blood alcohol level was measured at .225/.214 at the Ada County Jail.
Officers say he's got previous citations for DUI stretching over the past 10 years, including a felony charge.
Rojas Eljandro Perez is accused of driving drunk just before 3 a.m. Monday morning.
Boise police say the 23-year-old was busted behind the wheel of his car while it was facing the wrong way on Main Street at Capitol Boulevard.
They say Perez quickly drove away when approached by an officer on foot.
According to reports, the resulting car chase saw officers following Perez through downtown Boise, but eventually stopping the pursuit due to safety concerns. They say that's because Perez' car reached speeds of up to 70 m.p.h. in a 25 m.p.h. zone.
Police say Perez was eventually arrested after he failed to negotiate a corner, then hit a bike rack and a parked car near Bannock and State streets.
He faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
