McCALL, Idaho - A major winter storm has dumped two feet of new snow on Brundage Mountain.

Officials say 16 inches have piled up in the last 24 hours, and snow was falling at a rate of an inch an hour for most of the day.

As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, the snow measures 48 inches at the base and 55 inches on the summit.

Hundreds of skiers and snowboarders flocked to the McCall ski area to enjoy the new powder today.

Crews were hard at work even before sunrise prepping the slopes and shoveling out pathways and lift terminals as snow piled up quickly.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for Brundage Mountain through Thursday evening, and forecasters are predicting an additional 2-3 feet of fresh snow.
