BOISE -- One man was arrested Saturday after police responded to a shots fired call in a west Boise neighborhood.
Police say 19-year-old Chase Allen Kent Lagers of Garden City is charged with aggravated assault and firing a weapon at an occupied dwelling, both felonies.
A call came in shortly after 8 a.m. reporting two men firing a rifle into the air in front of a home on the 13300 block of North Fernleaf Street near Ustick and Eagle roads.
When officers arrived witnesses told police that the two suspects drove off in a blue Volkswagen Passat. Officers spotted a car matching that description on Cloverdale Road and pulled the car over with their guns drawn. To protect other motorists police briefly closed down Cloverdale Road north of Fairview. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Police say the two suspects and three other people at the house were in a dispute before the shots were fired. They say the suspects shot a rifle into the air from the front yard in the direction of a neighbor's home.
No one was injured in the incident. Police say they've responded to the home on Fernleaf Street several times for ongoing disturbances.
