One person was injured after a crash on Interstate 84 Saturday night involving two pickups and a horse trailer.

It happened at 5:26 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-84 near the Black Canyon Exit.

Logan D. Skerjanec, 17, of Vale, OR, was traveling westbound on I-84 in a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. Jeananne Dilworth, 53, of Caldwell, was also traveling westbound in a 1995 GMC Sierra pickup, pulling a 1979 Black Diamond horse trailer.

Skerjanec rear-ended Dilworth's horse trailer, causing it to separate from the truck. Dilworth's truck rolled into the median, where she was partially ejected. It is not known if she was wearing a seatbelt.

Dilworth was taken by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Her horse trailer was loaded with horses, which were up and walking around after the crash. They were taken to the Caldwell Veterinary Clinic.

Skerjanec and his passenger, Lauren H. Young, 15, also of Vale, OR, were not injured in the crash.

Both westbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately three hours. Traffic was diverted off the interstate while crews worked to remove the wreckage.
