ONTARIO, Ore. - Ontario Police say they have made a third arrest in an attempted murder case out of eastern Oregon.
55-year-old John Fritz was arrested Friday in Payette. Police say he conspired with Lester and Erlene Reger to kill 19-year-old Ramon Fry, the father of the Regers' grandchild.
Ontario Police Chief Mark Alexander says Fritz was at the house when Ramon Fry was shot in the head.
Malheur County District Attorney Dan Norris says the shooting took place in the garage of the Regers' home last month.
Fritz is in the Malheur County Jail.
The Malheur County Sheriff's Office says the 61-year-old Lester Reger posted the $50,000 bail needed to be released Monday morning. He is not allowed to have contact with the victim, have any weapons including guns, or be in Idaho for more than 24 hours at a time. He must also wear an ankle tracking bracelet.
55-year-old Erlene Reger also posted bail and was released on March 1.
Investigators don't know for sure who pulled the trigger in the incident.
Fry survived the shooting.
