A public memorial service will be held Thursday to honor a man known for his adventurous spirit and philanthropy.
The service for the late Micron CEO Steve Appleton will be held at 10 a.m. at Taco Bell Arena. It will be airing live on KTVB and will be streamed on KTVB.COM.

If you plan on attending the memorial to honor his legacy, we have gathered some information to help you out.
Bronco Lane will be available for people needing to drop off guests, but no public parking will be allowed. Taxis will be available and waiting at Bronco Lane following the service.
The west stadium parking lot will be reserved for those with special memorial service parking permits.
Public parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis in the east stadium parking lot near Bronco Stadium.
There will be public parking available in the Lincoln Avenue garage.
Parking will be available at no charge to the public in the dirt lot bound by 11th St and 13th St to the east and west,
and Front St and Myrtle St to the north and south.
Accessible parking is available on a first comer, first serve basis in the stadium lots, as well as in the Lincoln Avenue parking garage.
If you would like to avoid the traffic around campus, there will be free shuttles available from several off-campus parking areas to Taco Bell Arena. The shuttles begin running at 8 a.m., and will pick guests up at the same location they were dropped off.
A free shuttle will transport guests to and from the dirt parking lot between Front Street and Myrtle Street on 11th Street and 13th Street.
Shuttles will also be picking up guests who choose to park downtown. That shuttle will pick people up north of the City Centre Garage on Front Street, between 8th Street and 9th Street.
Discounted parking will be available between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the following downtown parking garages:
- Myrtle Street garage, 789 West Broad Street
- City Centre garage, 312 South 9th Street
- Eastman garage, 866 West Main Street
- Capitol Terrace garage, 770 West Main Street
Cesar Chavez Lane on the Boise State campus will be closed to traffic between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to access University Drive from Beacon Street or Belmont Street.
The stadium lots, as well as a portion of the Manitou parking lot will be closed to Boise State permit holders from 12:01 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday. Alternative parking will be available near the frisbee golf area and softball fields in Ann Morrison Park. A shuttle will be provided to take students to and from campus between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The Boise State Bronco Shuttle will not service the stadium parking lots.
