BOISE -- The 4th of July is a time to show your patriotic colors, wave your flags, and celebrate our nation's independence. Many of you might plan to celebrate outdoors, or in the city -- but either way, a fireworks show can usually be fit into your 4th ofJuly schedule somewhere!

There are many firework displays that people across Idaho can attend for free.

*Note some of these events are happening on Saturday, July 3rd rather than July 4th.


Boise:

We the People, LibertyDay Parade

Free to the public
Visitors are encouraged to leave their pets at home.

Friday, July 2nd & Saturday, July 3rd
Fireworks will follow Hawks baseball games both Friday & Saturday

Meridian:

Storey Park
Sunday, July 4th
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with bounce houses, climbing wall and obstacle course for kids.
Live bands will perform beginning at 3 p.m., Meridian Speedway races begin at 6:30 p.m.
Fireworks show begins at dusk.

Caldwell:

Great American Heroes celebration
Saturday, July 3rd
10 a.m. parade through downtown Caldwell
After the parade, a dedication will be held to Caldwell's fallen soldiers at the Memorial Park band shell.
Family activities will run from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Sunday, July 4th
Firework display will begin at dusk.

Sunday,July 4th
Fireworks at dusk over Payette Lake.


Middleton:

Saturday, July 3rd
Fireman's breakfast from 6:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., proceeds go to Middleton Fire District Burn-out Fund.
Following the breakfast, there will be a parade, car show, and live music.

Sunday, July 4th
Foote Park
Firework show will begin at dusk.

Downtown Crouch & Garden Valley, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Parade at 6 p.m. in Crouch

'Olde Tyme 4th of July'
Saturday, July 3rd
Fun run at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade, tractor pull, children's games, live entertainment and a fireworks show at dusk.

The Big Bang
Island Sports Complex
Mayor's All-City Float at 4p.m., live music at 7 p.m, firework show begins at dusk.

Council:


A Classic 4th of July
Sunday, July 4th
Events begin at 7 a.m. with the Chamber Breakfast.
There will also be helicopter rides, a parade, the annual porcupine races, classic car show, logging activities, a street dance and barbecue.
The firework show will begin around 9 p.m. or dusk on the football field.

Glenns Ferry:


Saturday, July 3rd
Boy Scout breakfast at City Park, 7 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Street dance, 9 p.m. on Idaho Street

Sunday, July 4th
Parade begins at 11 a.m., it will run on 1st Avenue from the fairgrounds to City Park.
Vendors, games, and Bingo at City Park throughout the day.
Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.
