BOISE -- A Garden City woman was arrested Sunday after police say she attacked an officer who found her on a stranger's couch.
The bizarre episode started Sunday night when police were called out to a fight involving 48-year-old Juliet Irene Summers in a northwestern Boise neighborhood. But when officers arrived, Summers was gone, they said.
As officers searched the neighborhood, a man on a nearby street told them a woman he didn't know had just walked into his home. Police found Summers sitting on a couch inside the house.
The woman was yelling and smelled strongly of alcohol, police said. She refused to leave when officers told her the home's owners didn't want her there. She continued to yell as they escorted her out of the house, and once outside, kicked an officer in the leg, police say.
Summers was arrested and charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer. She is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.
