SEXUALASSAULTAT BOISE MALL
Gregory Macho was arrested June 5, and charged with aggravated battery after police say he attacked two women in a Boise Towne Square Mall parking lot on May 14.
Officers believe the motive for the first attack was sexual assault, officers say the second woman was hit and run over by the suspect's truck after she attempted to intervene and stop the crime. That woman received serious injuries.
A police search throughout the Northwest failed to turn up evidence in the case for several weeks. However, witness accounts and media reports helped lead to Macho's arrest, according to police.
Officers arrested both Richard Macho and Jessica Macho several weeks later at their Boise homes.
Each is accused of having knowledge that the crime occurred, and helping the suspect avoid detection and arrest. They are also accused of helping alter the appearance of the suspect's vehicle, which is evidence in the case against Gregory Macho.
