MIDDLETON, Idaho -- A spokesman for the group trying to oust Middleton Mayor Darin Taylor from office is crying foul after the recall petition, including the names and addresses of those who signed it, was posted on the city's website.
Tyson Sparrow asked the mayor Wednesday to remove the personal information, saying some people may not want their information to be made public.
The Idaho Press-Tribune reports the mayor countered that the recall petition is a public document and was posted online as part of his administration's efforts toward transparency.
The recall group also took issue with Taylor using the city's website to respond to allegations against him. Sparrow asked that the mayor include documents supporting the recall group's stance, allowing for a comparison.
Taylor agreed to consider the request.
