BOISE -- The Treefort Music Festival returns for 2013 with headliners Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Camper Van Beethoven, and local superstars Built to Spill.

The event will feature more than 260 up-and-coming artists from throughout the Pacific Northwest, Southern California, and as far away as the U.K.

There's also 104 bands from the Treasure Valley, Twin Falls, Moscow, and various other Gem State locations. See that list here.

TICKETS

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, cost from $30 for a single day, single venue, to up to $200 for a multi-day VIPpass. Tickets are available at the Boise Sesquicentennial Shop at 10th and Main streets on Wednesday and Thursday and at the main stage near the Owyhee Plaza Hotel Friday - Sunday. Buy your tickets here.

LISTENBEFORE YOU GO

Because the festival is billed as an emerging artist experience, some folks might not recognize all the musicians. Publicity Director Matt Dalley says there's an easy way to get a preview.

We have a soundcloud where folks can go and sample some of the artists that are in Treefort Dalley said.

The festival's website also does an excellent job of breaking down the musical stylings, and includeslinks to band bios, YouTube videos and websites.

There's even a mobile app for Android and iPhone to guide listeners to venues throughout Boise, and keep them on schedule.

NEW VENUES

New for 2013, Treefort's venues have roughly doubled in number to handle the festival's increased attendance. That means in addition to the Linen Distirict, a good portion of downtown Boise will be packed with bands.

ALE FORT

Ale Fort is back again, but with more beer! Another change? You also don't need a festival pass to get inside.

Organizers say the idea behind Ale Fort is similar to the idea behind the Treefort Music Festival: create a venue where folks can enjoy new creations.

These creations happen to be varieties of beer brewed, in many cases, especially for the festival. Ale Fort admission is free, but drinkers must buy tokens that can be traded for 5 oz. beer samples.

$10 for 4 tokens, $20 for 9 tokens -- Sockeye Brewing, Payette Brewing,Bittercreek Alehouse, Crooked Fence Brewing, Boise Coop, Bier-Thirty. More info here.

FILM SERIES, YOGAFORT, FOODTRUCKS, PERFORMANCEARTISTS

What's better than drinking unique beer samples at Ale Fort? Well, it just might be checking out a music discussion panel, eating at a food truck, and then doing yoga afterward.

Yoga teachers at Sage Wellness in Boise plan to lead those sessions each morning at the El Korah Shrine.

2013 Treefort offers a number of other unique diversions, including:
