BOISE -- Boise Police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who stole a stained-glass butterfly from a statue in front of the Women's and Children's Alliance in downtown Boise earlier this month. It was the second time this year the butterfly has been removed by a thief.

Boise Police released four surveillance photos of the crime, which occurred on the night of May 16.

The WCA building is located near 8th and Washington streets in Boise.

The butterfly, created by the Boise Sculptures Guild, was also vandalized in March. It was later found near the WCA building by a passerby.

Officers are hoping someone will recognize the suspect in the photos and call police.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
