STANLEY- Crews got a handle on a wildfire south of Stanley Monday evening.

The Hell Roaring Fire started in the early hours of the Fourth of July, burning 325 acres before firefighters were able to get it completely contained.

Backcountry campers and hikers were evacuated from the Sawtooth National Forest not long after the blaze started.

Fire officials say they are releasing most resources to fight other fires. Some crews will remain to mop up patches of flame and smoldering fuel in the interior of the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
