BOISE - A Boise man was arrested this weekend after police say he broke into a convenience store last month by throwing a rock through the glass door.

An officer on patrol the night of May 12 noticed a loud alarm coming from the small convenience store, located in the 800 block of North 27th Street.

No one was inside the building, but the door had been smashed by a large rock, the officer said. Several items, including lottery tickets and cigarettes were missing.

Police say they found several leads, and identified 26-year-old Rodney Matthew Burkhead as a suspect. Burkhead was arrested Saturday night at his home.

He has been charged with felony burglary.
