BOISE --- The Idaho Department of Correction is searching for a man who apparently walked away from his job in St. Anthony Monday night.

Frank C. Smith, 44, was reported missing from his job as a night shift janitor around 10:10 p.m. Although Smith is an inmate at the St. Anthony Work Camp, he was working in the community when he disappeared, officials say.

The work camp is designed to give low-risk offenders a chance to develop skills and job experience.

Smith's criminal record includes convictions for two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and one count of destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence. He would have been eligible for parole in March of next year, and his sentence was set to be completed in 2018.

Anyone with information about Smith's whereabouts is urged to contact a local law enforcement agency.
