BOISE -- A small section of the Greenbelt that was shut down earlier this week due to concerns of a possible sinkhole is back open again, according to Ada County officials.

The 300-yard stretch of pathway is near the Diversion Dam and the Highway 21 bridge.

Officials say the Penitentiary Canal was leaking in the area, which caused erosion underneath the Greenbelt, and there was concern the path would collapse.

We are told that the repair work is complete and the path is now back open to recreationists.
