BOISE COUNTY -- The Local Emergency Planning Committee prepared for emergency situations with mock field scenarios.

The scenarios included wildfire-threatening structures in Placerville, a mass casualty vehicle accident, even an officer-involved shooting.

Over 50 people came to take part including 10 volunteer fire departments and 4 ambulance districts.

Organizers say the purpose of this exercise is to bring together the multiple volunteer organizations in Boise County to work together and improve emergency response coordination.
